Arizona Diamondbacks Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

After a wild loss to the Chicago Cubs yesterday. The Arizona Diamondbacks have announced a flurry of moves before game two of the series. Highlighted by the Diamondbacks placing left hand pitcher AJ PUk on the 15 day injured list.

AJ Puk – LHP

The Diamondbacks have sent Puk to the 15 day injured list retroactive to April 18th, with left elbow inflammation. Puk has four saves this year and has pitched in eight games for the Diamondbacks. He has a 3.338 ERA and a 1.25 WHIP with 12 strikeouts in eight innings worked.

Grae Kessinger – 3B

The Diamondbacks have designated Kessinger for assignment ahead of the second game of the series with the Cubs. He has four runs scored, but has yet to record a hit in 21 at-bats.

Bryce Jarvis – RHP

The Diamondbacks have optioned Jarvis to the Reno Aces in Triple-A. Jarvis has pitched in six game this year for the Diamondbacks. He has thrown 7.1 innings this year allowing seven hits, six runs, three walks, and striking out nine. Jarvis leaves with a 7.36 ERA, a 1.36 WHIP, and a .259 batting average against.

JP Feyereisen – RHP

Arizona has selected the contract of Feyereisen from the Reno Aces ahead of the game today. He has pitched in seven games in Triple-A this year with one win and a 0.96 ERA. Feyereisen has pitched 9.1 innings allowing 12 hits, one run, two walks, and struck out seven.

Drey Jameson – RHP

The Diamondbacks have recalled Jameson from Triple-A ahead of the game with the Cubs. In seven games with the Reno Aces he has a 2.70 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and a .286 batting average against. He has yet to allow a walk and has struck out 10.

Juan Morillo – RHP

Arizona has selected the contract of Morillo from the Reno Aces. Morillo has pitched in six games for the Aces in Triple-A. In 6.1 innings he has a 1.42 ERA and a 1.11 WHIP.

Joe Mantiply – LHP

The Diamondbacks have optioned Mantiply to Triple-A where he will pitched for the Reno Aces. Mantiply was involved in yesterday’s wild loss to the Cubs. In eight games this year he has one loss which came yesterday. He has a 15.95 ERA and a 3.00 WHIP through 7.1 innings pitched this year.
