Louis Varland (0-1, 6.75 ERA, 3 K) vs Cam Schlittler (1-0, 0.00 ERA, 12 K)

The Yankees have survived to fight another day after a fourth inning rally off the bat of Aaron Judge. After and early exit from starter Carlos Rodón, the bullpen held Toronto en route to a Yankees win. With the series now 2–1 in Toronto’s favor, New York is once again facing a win-or-go-home moment.

The Yankees will start rookie Cam Schlittler, who’s shut down performance against Boston has been a highlight of the team’s postseason run. Toronto will go with a bullpen approach, starting with the righty Louis Varland. New York’s offense finally showed signs of life after two flat performances in Toronto, primarily off of tonight’s starter. The crowd at Yankee Stadium should be electric, knowing another loss would end the season. Both teams face pressure, but the Yankees appear reenergized after a comeback win that saved their Championship Series hopes.
