
The Toronto Blue Jays and San Francisco Giants agreed to a trade this afternoon sending infielder Tyler Fitzgerald to the Toronto Blue Jays for cash considerations. The Giants designated Fitzgerald for assignment earlier this week. This season in three games at Triple-A Sacramento he’s yet to record a hit, has one walk and a run scored. This spring in 20 games he hit .189 with a .563 OPS. He had four doubles, a home run, seven RBI, and three runs scored.

Tyler Fitzgerald
The Giants drafted Fitzgerald in the fourth round of the 2019 MLB Draft out of Louisville. In three collegiate seasons, he appeared in 178 games. Fitzgerald hit .274 with a .757 OPS. He had 38 doubles, five triples, 11 home runs, 100 RBI, 141 runs scored, and 45 stolen bases. In seven minor league seasons for the Giants, he’s hit .261 with an .804 OPS.
