Cade Horton Exit

Cade Horton entered today’s start with a 1-0 record. He has a 2.84 ERA, a 0.79 WHIP, and four strikeouts. Today, during the second inning, Horton immediately looked into the dugout following a pitch. The trainers came out. After a short discussion, the Cubs’ young starting pitcher headed to the dugout. Horton missed time at the end of last season with a rib injury. The Cubs already have Justin Steele working his way back from his injury. Now, they could potentially be without the top pitching prospect in their system, depending on the diagnosis.

Summary

While nothing stuck out on the pitch, before his exit, Horton was clearly frustrated leaving the field. Hopefully, this will just be precautionary. However, the way he was acting, this could be much worse for the Cubs team. They were relying heavily on the young right-handed pitcher coming into the new season. With no updates from the Chicago Cubs, fans are left waiting for word. Everyone hopes for the best for Cade Horton.
