The Toronto Blue Jays are coming off a series in which they were swept and will now take on the Cleveland Guardians for a three-game series this weekend. The Blue Jays currently sit in last place in the American League East and trail the Minnesota Twins by 5.5 games for the final Wild Card spot. This series this weekend is an important one for them as they look to make up some ground and get back into the race for a playoff spot with July only ten days away. Toronto got a little boost ahead of their series opener tonight as they announced that RHP Yariel Rodriguez has been activated from the 15-day injured list and will start tonight’s game. In the corresponding move, RHP Ryan Burr has been optioned to Triple-A Buffalo.
