Texas Rangers Spring Breakout Roster Revealed

The Texas Rangers will face off against the Cincinnati Reds on March 14th at Surprise Stadium in Surprise, Arizona, at 5:05 PM CT in the first-ever Spring Breakout, where fans can see top prospects face off against other top prospects. Today, the Rangers roster for the game was revealed, and it features two of the four prospects in ITD’s top 100 rankings, shortstop Sebastian Walcott who ranks 70th, and Brock Porter who ranks 84th. Evan Carter and Wyatt Langford (ITD’s #3 & #4, respectively) will remain with the major league club. The full roster is listed below:

Wrap Up:

While many of these young prospects are not expected to make the big leagues any time soon, this game will give fans and management alike a chance to see them on the field. The Rangers expect great things from the young stud Sebastian Walcott as well as pitchers Brock Porter (who has yet to make an appearance in Surprise) and Jack Leiter, who has already pitched in several Spring Training games in Arizona.
