The Texas Rangers head into today’s Cactus League game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. They have three wins and five losses early in spring training. Last year, the Rangers had a disappointing season, finishing with a 78-84 record. They finished third in the American League West, 10.5 games back from the division champion Houston Astros last year. They continue to work things out this spring, hoping to bounce back in 2025.

SS – Devin Fitz-Gerald
The Rangers assigned Fitz-Gerald to the roster today before their spring training game. Devin is entering his first year of professional ball after being drafted last year in the MLB draft.
Overview:
The Rangers continue to shuffle the roster around to fill out the roster each day. They give guys a break and offer some youngsters opportunities to see potential time against better competition. Devin Fitz-Gerald has the chance to record his first major league action if he gets into the game. This occurs before heading back to their designated Minor League spring training camp. All three of these players are just getting started with the Rangers organization. Spring training is a fun time of year for fans to see the stars of the major league team. It’s also a chance to see some younger minor-league players. They get a chance that they might not normally have to see live or on television. Let’s hope the team continues to progress. Hopefully, they can return to their 2023 form.
