The St. Louis Cardinals will face the Chicago White Sox in a doubleheader today. The rain postponed last night’s game. The Cardinals took the first game of the series 12-2. Erick Fedde will start the first game of the doubleheader against Sean Burke for the White Sox. In the second game, the Cardinals will have Michael McGreevy facing off against Mike Vasil for the Chicago White Sox. The roster expands to 27 today with it being a doubleheader, and the Cardinals are using that spot on McGreevy. McGreevy this season is 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA, a 0.86 WHIP, and ten strikeouts in 11.2 innings. He started 12 games at Triple-A Memphis, going 7-1 with a 2.51 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP, and recording 64 strikeouts in 61 innings.

Michael McGreevy

The Cardinals drafted McGreevy with the 18th overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft. In 101 starts in the minor leagues, he is 38-22 with a 3.94 ERA, a 1.32 WHIP, and 449 strikeouts in 516 innings. He’s made six appearances in the big leagues, with four of those coming as starts. McGreevy is 4-1 with a 2.34 ERA, a 0.81 WHIP, and 28 strikeouts in 34.2 innings.
