Seven Atlanta Braves Prospects Named to Arizona Fall League

The Atlanta Braves are still in the playoff hunt as they are sitting a half-game back of the National League wild card and are in the middle of an important series against the New York Mets that if they win could help get them to the postseason for the seventh straight season. The Braves minor league affiliates seasons have come to an end as Triple-A Gwinnett finished 72-78. Double-A Mississippi finished 63-73. High-A Rome finished 64-64 and made the postseason after a 36-28 record but were eliminated in the first round as they got swept by Bowling Green. Single-A Augusta finished 49-80. Seven of their prospects were named to the Peoria Javelinas of the Arizona Fall League as catcher Drake Baldwin, third baseman/first baseman David McCabe, RHP’s Adam Maier, Ryan Bourassa, Isaac Gallegos, and Landon Harper as well as LHP Hayden Harris will be taking part in the league; Baldwin is ranked the ninth prospect in the Braves system by ITD.

C – Drake Baldwin

Baldwin was drafted in the third round of the 2022 MLB Draft. This season he played for Double-A and Triple-A, in 124 games he hit .276 with a .793 OPS; he had 19 doubles, a triple, 16 home runs, 88 RBI, 58 runs scored, two stolen bases, and 72 walks. He also played in the 2024 Futures Game going 1-2 with a solo home run, and two RBI.

3B/1B – David McCabe

McCabe was drafted in the fourth round of the 2022 MLB Draft. He spent all season at Double-A Mississippi playing 35 games he hit .137 with a .497 OPS; he had three doubles, two home runs, nine RBI, 12 runs scored, two stolen bases, and 24 walks.

RHP – Adam Maier

Maier was drafted in the seventh round of the 2022 MLB Draft. In his first season in the Braves system this season, he made 19 starts between Single-A and High-A going 3-5 with a 4.10 ERA, a 1.32 WHIP, a 2.7 BB/9, and an 8.4 K/9 in 83.1 innings.

LHP – Hayden Harris

Harris was signed by the Braves on July 30, 2022. This season between Double-A and Triple-A he made 41 appearances going 3-4 with a 4.64 ERA, a 1.57 WHIP, a 5.3 BB/9, and a 14.6 K/9 in 42.2 innings.

RHP – Ryan Bourassa

Bourassa was signed by the Braves in July of 2023. He pitched at three levels this season pitching in rookie ball, High-A, and Double-A, he made 31 appearances going 2-3 with a 3.63 ERA, a 1.15 WHIP, a 4.9 BB/9, and a 13.2 K/9 in 34.2 innings.

RHP – Isaac Gallegos

Gallegos was drafted in the 16th round in the 2023 MLB Draft. He pitched in rookie ball, Single-A, and High-A in 2024 making 18 appearances going 0-2 with a 3.00 ERA, a 1.22 WHIP, a 5.0 BB/9, and a 13.3 K/9 in 27 innings.

RHP – Landon Harper

Harper was drafted in the 14th round of the 2022 MLB Draft. He pitched at High-A and Double-A making 32 appearances with six of those coming as starts going 5-3 with a 2.43 ERA, a 0.94 WHIP, a 1.6 BB/9, and a 7.4 K/9 in 77.2 innings.
