Probable Starting Pitchers

Game 1: Erick Fedde (1-0, 1.50 ERA) vs. Walker Buehler (0-1, 8.31 ERA)

Fedde, in his 2025 debut, went six innings, giving up one run on two hits. He also didn’t walk anyone and struck out two. Buehler gets the ball in Boston’s home opener. In his Red Sox debut, he suffered the loss, going 4.1 innings, giving up four runs on seven hits. He didn’t issue a walk and struck out three.

Game 2: Andre Pallante (1-0, 3.60 ERA) vs. Richard Fitts (0-1, 4.50 ERA)

Pallante gets the middle game. In his first start, he went five innings, giving up two runs on four hits. He walked two and struck out three. Fitts, in his first start of the season, went six innings, giving up three runs on six hits. He didn’t walk anyone and struck out four.

Game 3: Miles Mikolas (0-0, 3.38 ERA) vs. Sean Newcomb (0-1, 9.00 ERA)

Mikolas got the ball on Monday, going 5.1 innings, giving up two runs on two hits. He walked two and struck out three. Newcomb took the loss in his Red Sox debut. He settled down after the first inning, but he gave up four runs on eight hits in four innings. Newcomb walked two and struck out four.

Player To Watch:

St. Louis Cardinals

Nolan Arenado this season is hitting .391 with a 1.109 OPS. He has two doubles, a home run, six RBI, and five runs scored. Arenado and the Red Sox were linked all off-season, but he heads to Fenway Park, where he is still a member of the St. Louis Cardinals.

Boston Red Sox

Kristian Campbell this season is hitting .417 with a 1.333 OPS. He has four doubles, two home runs, four RBI, and six runs scored. This will be his first game at Fenway Park in his career and his first time facing the Cardinals.
