San Diego Padres Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Padres have started the season with seven straight wins. They are heading on the road to face the Chicago Cubs in a three-game series starting Friday, April 4th. The team had an off day today. They have announced a few roster moves ahead of their series with the Cubs. The Padres will look to stay hot over the weekend to try and keep pace with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Jhony Brito – RHP

The Padres have transferred Brito from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day injured list. He has a right forearm strain. Last season Brito pitched in 26 games, going 1-2 with a 4.12 ERA with a 1.35 WHIP. He pitched 43.2 innings and struck out 29 last year before being shut down with an elbow strain.

Eguy Rosario – 3B

The Padres have sent Rosario outright to Triple-A to the El Paso Chihuahuas. Last season with the Padres, he played in 30 games. He had five runs, 13 hits, six doubles, three home runs, six RBI, and a .245 batting average. Rosario will continue his 2025 season in Triple-A.

Oscar Gonzalez – OF

The Padres have selected the contract of Gonzalez, who was signed and invited to spring training. They have sent him to the El Paso Chihuahuas in Triple-A. He last played in the major leagues with the Cleveland Guardians in 2023. He played in 54 games with a .214 batting average and a .551 OPS. Gonzalez had 15 runs, 37 hits, seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, and 12 RBI.
