Brady House was born in Winder, Georgia, on June 4, 2003. He played high school baseball at Winder-Barrow High School in Winder, GA. He was the top-ranked shortstop and the top-ranked overall player in Georgia. At Winder-Barrow in four seasons, he hit .524 with a .629 OBP; he had 131 hits, 27 doubles, four triples, 17 home runs, 61 RBI, 117 runs scored, 34 stolen bases, and 48 walks. He made 21 appearances on the mound, going 5-1 with a 1.49 ERA and 82 strikeouts in 51.2 innings. House was ranked the first shortstop in the country and the top-ranked overall player. He committed to play college baseball at the University of Tennessee.

When Was Brady House Drafted?

House was the eighth-ranked prospect entering the 2021 draft and would be picked 11th overall in the draft by the Washington Nationals and signed with them over going to Tennessee.

2021

House’s first season, he played for the National Rookie ball team, and in 16 games, he slashed .322/.394/.576 with a .970 OPS; he had three doubles, four home runs, 12 RBI, 14 runs scored, and seven walks.

2022

Entering 2022, Baseball American ranked House as the 59th prospect, and MLB.com ranked him 49th. He played in 45 games for Single-A Fredericksburg, slashing .278/.356/.375 with a .731 OPS; he had eight doubles, three home runs, 31 RBI, 24 runs scored, one stolen base, and 12 walks.

2023

House fell from the rankings to start 2023. He played for Single-A Fredericksburg, High-A Wilmington, and Double-A Harrisburg. In 88 games, he slashed .312/.365/.497 with a .862 OPS; he had 21 doubles, three triples, 21 home runs, 47 RBI, 52 runs scored, nine stolen bases, and 26 walks. He also played in the Futures Game for the National League, going 1-1 with a run scored.

Future                                                                   

ITD ranks House as the 37th overall prospect and the Nationals third ranked prospect. He will likely start the season either at Double-A or Triple-A.
