The Pirates have swapped out relievers, sending one down to Triple-A and recalling another ahead of this afternoon’s game.

John Oviedo
The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled right-handed pitcher John Oviedo from the Indianapolis Indians in Triple-A. Oviedo has pitched in two games this season already for the Pirates. While he has not factored in a decision yet, he does carry a 6.75 ERA over four innings pitched. Oviedo has six strikeouts and a 1.75 WHIP. In three games this year with Indianapolis in Triple-A, Oviedo has a 2.63 ERA over thirteen and two-thirds innings pitched. Oviedo will look to continue his success in Triple-A from the Bullpen in Pittsburgh. He has held opponents to a .170 batting average against in Triple-A this year.
Evan Sisk
The Pittsburgh Pirates have optioned left-handed pitcher Evan Sisk to Triple-A today. In nine games this season Sisk has one win and one loss in relief. Sisk has a 4.15 ERA and a 1.62 WHIP in eight and two-thirds innings pitched this season. He allowed eight hits, four earned runs, and six walks during his time with the Pirates. However, he also struck out 15 batters in those innings.
