Liover Peguero
The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled shortstop Liover Peguero from Triple-A today ahead of their game with the Padres. He has played in 24 games this season for the Indianapolis Indians. Peguero has a .258 batting average and a .691 OPS on the year. He has 12 runs scored, 23 hits, six doubles, one triple, one home run, and 12 RBI on the year.
Hunter Stratton
The Pittsburgh Pirates have optioned right-hand pitcher Hunter Stratton to Triple-A ahead of tonight series opener. He has pitched in two games this year for the Pirates. Stratton has pitched 1.2 innings allowing six hits, four runs, one home run, one walk, and has not recorded a strikeout. He currently has a 21.60 ERA, a .545 batting average against, and a 4.20 WHIP.
Juan Muniz
The Pirates have signed Juan Muniz to a minor league contract today. The seventeen-year-old has been assigned to the DSL Pirates.
