Picks of the Day, 6/19

Red Sox Paxton
Big Maple has been one of the few bright spots on the Red Sox staff. He takes his 12.4 Ks per 9 to Minny to face a lineup that Ks over 10 times per game

On Saturday I went 1-1 with a push on the White Sox -Mariners Over. The line was 7 runs, and I’ll take the Over 7 every time I see it unless there are two aces going.
Bryce Elder got be the W at +105, and the damn Phillies/A’s game, which featured 2 starters with ERAs over 7 was 1-1 into the 11th inning….If you bet the under on that one, I want to see receipts.
99-86 on the season:
Pick #1
Royals @ Tigers, Total Over 9 runs, -105
Let’s face it, there is no good reason to watch Jordan Lyles, and Reece Olson . The are winless with 13 losses combined, and have a combined ERA around 13.00.
Take the Over and at least make this snooze-fest interesting.
Pick #2
James Paxton Over 6.5 Strikeouts, -140
The Red Sox are in Minnesota facing a Twins lineup that has the highest Ks per 9 in MLB. He has also gone over 6.5 in his last 3 outings.
Pick #3
Cubs @ Pirates, Pirates +1.5 Run Line, -135
This is the first time all year I’ve bet the Underdog Run Line. The Pirates are home, they have the better lineup, and neither starter is very good.
