Happy Monday. As a heads up, my wife should be going into labor any minute now, so when you don’t see a post for a few days, that is why. Follow @ITDiamonds_Jim on Twitter, and I’ll at least throw picks up there .
.500 last week. MLB is still drunk, more teams over or under performing than I can ever remember. I guess this is what makes baseball great, and hard to gamble on. If you’re not having fun, go bet on college football where any monkey can make money.
72-65 on the season. Been in a two week slump that ends today:
Pick #1
Blue Jays @ Rays, Toronto Moneyline, -110
Chris Bassitt has been huge for a Blue Jays staff that has been wildly disappointing. The Rays are going with a bullpen day, which more often than not is a white flag (although TB has more success than other teams with pen days). Jays need to snap a 4 game losing streak, I like the team desperate to win vs. a bullpen day.
Pick #2
Cardinals @ Reds, St. Louis -1.5 Run Line, -120
The Cardinals are as hot as any team in MLB right now. They have won 8 of 10 games including series wins against Boston, Milwaukee, and the Dodgers.
Pick #3
Red Sox @ Angels, Total Runs Over 9.5, -115
Tanner Houck is always excellent for a few innings, then serves up 3-5 runs in the 4th or 5th and ruins a good start. Angels counter with a reliver making his first start. Not sure if this is a bullpen day, or an audition for Barria to be a starter. Either way, there will be runs.
Bonus
Ozzie Albies Over 1.5 Total Bases, +135
I’ve been ice cold with these bonus or reach picks. Playing it a little more conservative until I recoup some losses.

It had been a quiet offseason for the Mariners. That was until recently when they claimed a pair of relief pitchers off waivers. Now, the M’s have signed their first player of the 2024-25 offseason. On Monday while everyone else was worried about Roki Sasaki, the Seattle Mariners announced the signing of Donovan Solano. Solano, […]
