Picks of the Day, 4/8

Betting against Jose Berrios today will hopefully get me back on track. Berrios has been well below average since coming to Toronto at the end of 2021 The Canadian Press

Anybody that tells you they are good at gambling is full of crap. Somehow, I managed to go 0-3 yesterday, and I’m now 7-13 on the season. Good news is, I’ve done pretty well this week with basketball, and hockey…which doesn’t help me here.
If you bet on KC beating San Fran 3-1 at the Giants home opener, the day after scoring 16 runs, God bless you. And, if you had the Nats and Rockies scoring 15 runs, the day after scoring 1 total run, than you are a better man than I.
It’s Saturday, the sun rising as I type this…today is a new dawn for me. I’ll be above water at this time next week:

Pick#1
Padres @ Braves (7:20) Over 8.5 Total Runs, -165
A conservative bet to get on track. Wacha vs Morton means a good game, but likely some scoring. Both offenses are on fire.

Pick#2
A’s @ Rays (4:10) Rays Team Total Runs Over 4.5, -125
I’ve never heard of the A’s starter, and he has a 30.86 ERA…nuff’ said

Pick #3
Blue Jays @ Angels (9:07) Angels Moneyline, -120
Jose Berrios is lost. It’s not just a slump at this point, it’s been over a year. Angels have looked good.. Ty Anderson had a stellar first outing.

Reach
I’m going to pile on Berrios, and take Shohei Ohtani to hit a Home Run at +375
