Picks of the Day, 4/4

Matt Strahm pitching means I'm betting on his opponent. Every single time. Yong Kim/Staff Photographer, The Inquirer

A third consecutive 1-2 day. Houston and Cleveland losing to the two worst teams in baseball is tough. Good news is, my reach pick hit at +468 to save the day when Mike Yastrzemski homered. Sitting at 3-6 now, and taking a conservative approach today to get back on track.

Pick#1
Yankees -1.5 over Phillies, +130 (7:05)
Matt Strahm is starting for Philly. As someone who watched too much Matt Strahm last year, this is a no-brainer.

Pick#2
Pirates @ Red Sox, Total Runs over 9, -110 (7:10)
Red Sox and opponents have smashed the over in 4 straight games. Nick Pivetta starting means they will again.

Pick #3
Dodgers -1.5 over Rockies, -110 (10:10)
I love Urias and Dodgers have been hitting a ton.

Reach
Kyle Schwarber to hit over .5 HR, +250
Not the odds I’d like for a guy hitting .059 to start the year, but Kyle is due, Yankee Stadium has a Little League porch in right, and Domingo German gives up about 1 HR per appearance over the last 3 years.
