Picks of the Day, 4/18

Accountable Chris Sale is becoming a weekly ritual that beat writers eat up Elsa/Getty Images

Sometimes the Baseball Gods don’t play along; 1-2 yesterday because DeGrom was pulled from a no-hitter after 4 innings, and didn’t record 9 Ks; and Shohei only went 2 innings because of rain delays. To top off a turd of a day, the Phillies were rained out, so the Schwarber HR pick was voided.
25-25 on the season. Lots of games today with a few afternoon starts:
Pick #1
Angels @ Yankees, Total Runs Over 9, -110
Clarke Schmidt and Jose Saurez have both been pretty bad, and allow all kinds of baserunners with WHIPs around 2.00. Ohtani is +425 to hit a HR today. Do with that what you will.
Pick #2
Blake Snell Under 6.5 strikeouts, -115
Snell has only pitched 13 innings in 3 starts. he doesn’t last long enough to get 7 Ks. Braves knocked him out after 3.2 innings and 2 Ks last week.
Pick #3
Twins @ Red Sox, Twins -.5 Run Line 1st 5 innings, +115
Free money. Wish I could bet on Chris Sale being super accountable for a bad start after the game, and the beat writers saying how great he is for owning it.
Reach
Was going to double down on Schwarber to go deep today but its only +235. Gonna go with Trea Turner to hit his first HR of the year at +600
