Picks of the Day, 4/13

Ronaldo Hernandez will be the backup catcher in Worcester today, while the compensation the Sox received for him, looks to go 3-0 vs. the Sox Katie Morrison/Mass Live

I’m not even mad that I went 1-2 yesterday with the picks because, I hit another reach pick at +600. Randy Arozarena took Chris Sale deep in the bottom of the first inning, and made me $600. On the down side, the Padres couldn’t score runs again, I think I’m done betting on San Diego until they figure it out. Oakland over hit again, and my parlay was close but no cigar, as Atlanta and Toronto won by 1, when I needed 1.5.

It’s going to be 80 degrees here today, and I’m 72 hours from playing baseball. Let’s have a good day:

Pick #1

Athletics @ Orioles, Total Runs Over 10 runs, -110

Line is higher today but A’s games hit the over every day. Going to ride it until it doesn’t hit. Also, not many games today to choose from.

Pick #2

Red Sox @ Rays, Jeffrey Springs to record under 17.5 outs, +105

Springs is great, but Rays go to the bullpen early and often. Really should bet on Rays run line, but I feel like I’d jinx the streak. (sidenote: Chaim Bloom traded Springs to the Rays in 21′ for a AAA catcher)

Pick #3

Tigers @ Blue Jays, Total Runs Over 9, -120

Both starters have ERAs over 10.

Reach

Brandon Lowe to hit Home Run, +310

Why not? Could literally pick anyone in the Rays lineup and they could take Kluber deep today.
