Picks of the Day, 4/11

Can I jinx the 10-0 Rays? Ivy Ceballo/ TB Times

Three straight days going 2-1, and I’m on the comeback trail. 13-16 on the season. I should have picked the Guardians moneyline instead of the run line, but I got greedy.
I don’t count the reach picks toward my record. So far I’ve had pretty good luck with them, but yesterday all three aces in the parlay lost. Darvish, Castillo, and Alcantara’s teams all lost, and the latter two got shelled. I wonder what the odds were if I bet against all three?

No afternoon games today:

Pick#1
Tigers @ Blue Jays (7:07), Blue Jays -1.5 run line, -135
At this point, betting against the Tigers is free money. Factor in Alek Manoah on the bump, and this should be a no-brainer.

Pick#2
Mariners @ Cubs (7:40), Hayden Wesneski under 4.5 Ks, -135
The young righty, has two career games with over 4 Ks. He doesn’t stick around long enough to get 5 punch-outs today.

Pick#3
Parlay: Angels -1.5 and Rangers -1.5, +198
Ohtani and DeGrom versus Flotsam and Jetsam

Reach
AL East Parlay (minus Red Sox) Yankees, Rays, Orioles, and Blue Jays moneylines, +404
All favorable pitching matchups, Yankees the only one playing a decent team. Rays are 10-0….I probably just jinxed them.
