Probable Starting Pitchers

Game 1: Paul Skenes (2-2, 2.87 ERA) vs. Yoshinobu Yamamoto (3-1, 0.93 ERA)

Skenes will start the series off for the Pirates in game one. He took the loss last time out against the Guardians. Skenes pitched seven innings allowing six hits, two runs, one home run, one walk, and struck out four. Yamamoto will do for the Dodgers. He beat the Rangers last time out. He pitched seven scoreless, allowing five hits, and striking out 10.

Game 2: Mitch Keller (1-2, 4.18 ERA) vs. Roki Sasaki (0-1, 3.20 ERA)

Keller will start game two for the Pirates. He pitched five innings last time out against the Guardians. He allowed five hits, two runs, two walks, and struck out three. Sasaki will start game two for the Dodgers. In his last start, he did not factor in the decision against the Rangers. He pitched six innings allowing two hits, two runs, one home run, three walks, and struck out four.


Game 3: Bailey Falter (1-2, 5.19 ERA) vs. Tyler Glasnow (1-0, 3.71 ERA)

Falter will close out the series for the Pirates. He did not factor in the decision in his last start against the Angels. He pitched four innings allowing five hits, three runs, one home run, and striking out five. Glasnow will go for the Dodgers. Glasnow did not factor in the decision last time out against the Rangers. He pitched four innings allowing three hits, one walk, and struck out six.

Pittsburgh Pirates

Bryan Reynolds has been getting warmed up over the past seven days. He has four runs, 11 hits, one home run, and five RBI in his last six games. With a .440 batting average and a 1.043 OPS, the veteran outfielder will be needed this series if the Pirates have any chance this weekend. Last year in the six games he played against the Dodgers. He had a .286 batting average with eight hits, three RBI, and four runs scored.

Los Angeles Dodgers

Mookie Betts has been struggling over the last seven days. He has three runs, four hits, one double, one RBI, and a .211 batting average in five games. The Dodgers have had two days off. Betts needs to bounce back to form during this series with the Pirates over the weekend. In three games last year he had a .182 batting average with two hits, a home run, three RBI, and three runs scored.
