Milwaukee Brewers Roster Moves 3/20/25

Milwaukee Brewers Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Milwaukee Brewers have a rare off day today. After yesterday’s win over the Chicago White Sox in Cactus League play, the Brewers have 14 wins. They have 11 losses and one tie this spring. Milwaukee will host the Arizona Diamondbacks tomorrow evening as they wind down spring training. The regular season begins on Thursday, March 27th. The Brewers will travel to play the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium. The Brewer will face a tough task trying to repeat in 2025 as the National League Central division winners. They will have to battle with the Chicago Cubs. The Cincinnati Reds will also compete for the title this year. Both teams are eager for the challenge.

Andruw Monasterio

The Milwaukee Brewers have optioned Andruw Monasterio to the Nashville Sounds in Triple-A today March 20th, 2025. Monasterio swung a hot bat this spring for the Brewers. In 28 at-bats he scored 10 runs, had 11 hits, one home run, two doubles, one triple, and six RBIs. He finished spring training with a .393 with a slash line of .514/.643/1.157. Andruw Monasterio played in 59 games last season with Milwaukee. In those games he had five doubles, one home run, 16 RBIs, and six steals. Monasterio ended last year with a .208 batting average for the Brewers. While in Triple-A last year with Nashville he played in 10 games. In those games, Andruw Monasterio had a .243 batting average. The Brewers sending Andruw Monasterio to Triple-A to start the year allows Monasterio to get regular playing time. If he can duplicate this spring in the first month with Triple-A, he may force the Brewers’ hand. He could find himself back in the Majors.
