Max Scherzer Could Return for ALDS

Max Scherzer

The Texas Rangers acquired Max Scherzer at the Trade Deadline, and he suffered an injury after just eight starts. The three-time Cy Young Award winner is planning to return this season and pitch for the Rangers in the postseason. With the Texas Rangers eliminating the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday to advance to the ALDS, where they will take on the Baltimore Orioles, Scherzer could likely return as he pitched a bullpen and has begun to intensify his workouts. Following the bullpen, Scherzer said he was “pain-free.” it will depend on how things go over the upcoming days, but it’s looking like the Rangers may get an ace back to their rotation soon as they look to make it back to the World Series for the first time since 2011.
