Los Angeles Dodgers Roster Moves 3/21

The Los Angeles Dodgers are heading home after splitting the two-game Seoul Series vs the Padres. The Dodgers have three more spring training games left before they resume the regular season on Thursday, March 28th against the St. Louis Cardinals at home. The team has made three moves this morning ahead of their upcoming Sunday spring training game against the Angels.

RHP – Landon Knack

Knack was optioned to Triple AAA Oklahoma City Baseball Club this morning. Knack pitched in two games this spring, of which one he started. He has pitched four innings, with seven strikeouts, one walk, a 4.50 ERA, and a 0.50 WHIP in two games. Last season he split the year between Double AA Tulsa and Triple AAA Oklahoma City. He started a combined 22 games last year throwing 100.1 innings. He had a record of 5-1 on the year with a 2.51 ERA. He struck out 99, walked 30, and had a 1.16 WHIP combined.

RHP – Gus Varland

Varland was also optioned to Triple AAA Oklahoma City this morning. This spring he has pitched in six games going 5.2 innings, with seven strikeouts, a 1.41 WHIP, and a 6.35 ERA. Last year for the Dodgers Varland appeared in only one game recording one out on two pitches.

RHP – J.P. Feyereisen

Feyereisen like the other two above was optioned to Triple AAA Oklahoma City this morning. He pitched in the Seoul Series and got roughed up going one inning giving up three runs on three hits; he walked one and struck out one. In the spring he made four appearances pitching 3.1 innings. He had a record of 1-0, has struck out three batters, an 8.10 ERA, and a 2.40 WHIP in the spring. Last year he made one appearance for the Dodgers in the regular season throwing one inning, walking one, striking out one, with a 4.00 WHIP, and finished with a 27.00 ERA.
