Canha had only played in seven games for the Royals before being sent to the injured list. He had four runs, five hits, two doubles, and two walks in those seven games. Canha has a .357 batting average and a .971 OPS this year.

While Mark Canha rehabs, the Royals need to decide on what’s best for the future of this team. It might make sense to give Canha more reps in the outfield. They could send MJ Melendez down to Triple-A for a while. He is currently hitting .077 with a .285 OPS. The Royals will head to Detroit after the three-game set with the Yankees.
