The Detroit Tigers are coming off a trip to the ALDS and have entered the offseason looking to address their starting rotation and their lineup with a key bat. Today they added an arm to their rotation as they inked right-handed pitcher Alex Cobb to a one-year deal. Cobb faced the Tigers in the ALDS as he got the start for the Cleveland Guardians and he suffered the loss giving up two runs on three hits in three innings; he walked one and struck out two.

Bottom Line:
This is likely just the beginning of the additions to the rotation with the Tigers having been linked to Walker Buehler, Kyle Gibson, and Andrew Heaney. Right now the expected rotation will include Tarik Skubal, Reese Olson, Keider Montero, and either Jackson Jobe or Casey Mize with Cobb.
