The Detroit Tigers will be looking to add this offseason, and there are names out there that could pique their interest. According to Scott Harris, their top priority is pitching as they are trying to replace Eduardo Rodriguez. But what about a bat? Many people say Whit Merrifield would make sense, but what about the second baseman in Cincinnati who could be an excellent fit for the Detroit offense in Jonathan India? The Reds rumored India was available at the trade deadline, but with the Reds still in the playoff chase, they held onto him; now, in the offseason, his name is being floated out again, and what could they use maybe a pitching prospect that the Tigers have some decent ones that could get a trade done, so why not bring India to Detroit if possible.
