The Detroit Tigers are wrapping up Grapefruit League play today as they will head to San Francisco to face the Giants before kicking off the season against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Thursday. It’s been a chaotic 24 hours for the Tigers. Yesterday they informed Kenta Maeda he would be pitching out of the bullpen and send Keizer Montero to Triple-A Toledo along with infielder Ryan Kreidler. With those moves, Jackson Jobe and Casey Mize will take the four and five spots in the rotation to start 2025. Today they also signed outfielder Manuel Margot who was released by the Milwaukee Brewers. The addition of Margot fills a hole, and Parker Meadows and Matt Vierling are out. Margot will join the team in San Francisco following his physical.
