The Detroit Tigers Triple-A affiliate the Toledo Mud Hens took on the Iowa Cubs for six games and won two of them. Their Double-A affiliate the Erie SeaWolves took from the Harrisburg Senators and won two of the three games in their Eastern League title defense. The Tigers High-A affiliate the West Michigan Whitecaps took one of three from the Lake County Captains. The Single-A affiliate took one of three from the Dunedin Blue Jays.

Detroit Tigers Top 10 Prospects Check-In

OF – Max Clark – Lakeland Flying Tigers

Clark is still looking for his first hit going 0-11 with two RBI, three runs scored, and two walked.

2B/3B – Colt Keith – Detroit Tigers

Keith last week went 5-17 with a double, two RBI, three runs scored a stolen base, and two walks. He is hitting .214 with a .563 OPS; he has two RBI and a stolen base.

RHP – Jackson Jobe – Erie SeaWolves

Jobe got the start yesterday for Erie going 2.1 innings and took the loss giving up three runs, all unearned on three hits; he walked three and struck out three.

2B – Jace Jung – Toledo Mud Hens

Jung played in all six games going 6-23 with a double, a home run, four RBI, four runs scored, and five walks. This season he is hitting .257 with a .757 OPS; he had one home run and six RBI.

RHP – Wilmer Flores – Toledo Mud Hens

Flores made his second appearance of the season on Thursday going two innings giving up three runs, only one earned on two hits; he walked four and struck out two. This season he has a 10.38 ERA, a 2.77 WHIP, and two strikeouts in 4.1 innings.

RHP – Ty Madden – Erie SeaWolves

Madden got the ball on Saturday for Erie going four innings and didn’t allow a run, a hit, or a walk and struck out five.

OF – Justyn Henry Malloy – Toledo Mud Hens

Malloy played in five games going 4-16 with a double, two RBI, two runs scored, one stolen base, and five walks. This season he is hitting .296 with an .814 OPS; he has three RBI and a stolen base.

INF – Kevin McGonigle – Lakeland Flying Tigers

McGonigle has started the season on the 7-day injured list.

C – Dillon Dingler – Toledo Mud Hens

Dingler only played in four games going 1-11 with two RBI, and three walks. He is struggling at the plate hitting .118 with a .580 OPS; he has a home run and three RBI.

RHP – Keider Montero – Toledo Mud Hens

Montero jumped into the top ten for the Tigers with the graduation of Parker Meadows. He made his second start of the season on Friday going four innings, he didn’t allow a run on one hit; he walked three and struck our four. This season through two starts he has a 0.00 ERA, a 0.88 WHIP, and ten strikeouts in eight innings.

This coming week the Toledo Mud Hens will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates Triple-A affiliate the Indianapolis Indians. The Indians feature the second-ranked prospect and the Pirates top-ranked prospect RHP Paul Skenes who is expected to pitch on Sunday.
