The Colorado Rockies will start a three-game series against the Athletics today. They will have Ryan Feltner on the mound, making his second start of the season. The A’s will have Osvaldo Bido on the mound. The Rockies on Sunday will have Chase Dollander making his big league debut as they are calling him up. Dollander is the Rockies’ top overall prospect and ranks 24th by MLB Pipeline. He’s made one start this season at Triple-A Albuquerque. Dollander went four innings, giving up one run on six hits; he walked two and struck out five. This spring with the Rockies, he made six starts. He went 2-3 with a 7.13 ERA, a 1.53 WHIP, and 24 strikeouts in 17.2 innings.

Chase Dollander

Dollander was drafted ninth overall in 2023. He finished his college career making 45 appearances, with 42 of those coming as starts. Dolllander went 21-9 with a 3.73 ERA, a 1.17 WHIP, and 292 strikeouts in 217 innings. His last season at Tennessee, he made 17 starts, going 7-6 with a 4.75 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP, and 169 strikeouts in 118 innings. Last season, he pitched at High-A Spokane and Double-A Hartford. In High-A, he made 14 starts, going 4-1 with a 2.83 ERA, a 1.26 WHIP, and 111 strikeouts in 70 innings. In Double-A, he made nine starts, going 2-1 with a 2.25 ERA, a 1.10 WHIP, and 58 strikeouts in 48 innings.
