The Cleveland Guardians will look to extend their winning streak to five tonight when they take on the Yankees. The Guardians have a 13-9 record to start the year and have won seven of their last ten games. They sit a half game back from the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central to kick of play today. Before the game with the Yankees they have announced three roster moves. They are sending Lane Thomas to the injured list while calling up Will Wilson from Triple-A in a corresponding move.

Lane Thomas

The Guardians have placed Thomas on the 10-day injured list. This move is retroactive to April 20th. He has a right wrist bone bruise. Thomas has played in 13 games this year for the Guardians. Thomas has a .156 batting average and a .366 OPS to start the year. He has two runs, seven hits, one double, one steal and two RBI.

Trevor Stephan

The Guardians have transferred Stephan from the 15 day injured list to the 60 day injured list. Stephan hasn’t pitched in since undergoing his elbow surgery back in March of 2024. In 2023 he pitched in 71 games for the Guardians with a 7-7 record over 68.2 innings of work. He had a 4.06 ERA, a 1.30 WHIP, and a .245 batting average against in 2023.

Will Wilson

The Guardians have selected the contract of shortstop Will Wilson from Triple-A Columbus. Wilson has been off to a good start in Triple-A. He has played in 18 games this year. Wilson has 16 runs, 22 hits, four doubles, six home runs, and 18 RBI. Wilson has a .324 batting average with a 1.065 OPS to start his season.
