Cleveland Guardians Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The Cleveland Guardians will look to complete the sweep of the Los Angeles Angels this afternoon. Cleveland improved their record to 23-21 after last night’s 3-2 win. The Guardians currently have a one-and-a-half game lead over the White Sox. This is as they enter play today in the American League Central. Parker Messick will pitch for the Guardians. Reid Detmers will pitch for the Angels. The first pitch is at 1:10 PM today at Progressive Field. The Guardians have announced two roster moves ahead of the series finale, swapping out arms in their bullpen.

Franco Aleman

The Cleveland Guardians have optioned Right-Hand pitcher Franco Aleman to Triple-A today. Aleman has pitched in two games for the Guardians so far this year. He has recorded one hold this year and has a 3.38 ERA in two and two-thirds innings of work. He has allowed a .333 average against during those two games.

Codi Heuer

The Cleveland Guardians have recalled right-hand pitcher Codi Heuer from Triple-A today ahead of their series finale with the Angels. Heuer has pitched in 14 innings this year for the Columbus Clippers with one win and a 2.57 ERA. He has three saves in four opportunities in Triple-A. Heuer has struck out 12 this season while allowing a .213 average against this season in Triple-A.
