Tyler Stephenson

The Reds have sent catcher Tyler Stephenson on a rehab assignment down in Triple-A. He will get some game action in with the Louisville Bats. Stephenson has been on the injured list since the end of training camp with a left oblique strain. He played in nine games this spring. Stephenson had three runs, five hits, two doubles, one home run, and two RBI. Stephenson finished spring training with a .227 batting average and a .825 OPS. When healthy, he can provide manager Terry Francona with a right-handed power bat. He can be in the lineup either behind the plate or in the DH role.

The Reds have sent left-hand pitcher Sam Moll on a rehab assignment in Triple-A,. He will pitch for the Louisville Bats. Moll has been on the injured list with a left shoulder impingement since April 11th. He has already pitched in three games for the Reds this year. Moll pitched two innings allowing three hits, four runs, one home run, three walks, and struck out one. He allowed a 18.00 ERA, a 3.00 WHIP, and a .375 batting average against. Hopefully with the rest he can work things out and return to 2024 form. In 2024 he had a 3.35 ERA, a 1.09 WHIP, and allowed a .201 batting average against in 48 games.
