Fraley is back from Injury
The Cincinnati Reds have activated outfielder Jake Fraley from the 10-day injured list. This activation occurred before their second game of the series with the Colorado Rockies. Fraley returns from a right shoulder strain suffered back on June 24th. Fraley has a .224 average this season in 47 games played for the Reds. He has four doubles, five home runs, and 17 RBI.
Encarnacion-Strand Optioned to Louisville
The Cincinnati Reds have optioned struggling first baseman Christain Encarnacion-Strand back to Triple-A. He will play for the Louisville Bats. He has played in 36 games for the Reds this season already. Encarnacion-Strand has a .208 average and a .611 OPS this season. He has six home runs and 19 RBI on the season. He will try to get his bat on track. If he finds his swing while in Triple-A, he will look to return down the stretch.
