Jose Trevino
The Cincinnati Reds have placed Jose Trevino on the 10-day injured list. This move is retroactive to April 5th. He is dealing with a thoracic spine strain. Trevino has been solid defensively this season for the Reds, but offensively, it’s been bad. He has one hit in 11 at-bats this season.
Christian Encarnacion-Strand
The Cincinnati Reds have designated Strand for assignment today. Strand has played in ten games for the Louisville Bats in Triple-A this season. He was slashing .222/.275/.472 in those ten games. This year, he has one double, one triple, two home runs, and eight RBI. Last season with the Reds, he played in 36 games with six home runs, 19 RBI, and slashed .208/.234/.377.
P.J. Higgins
The Cincinnati Reds have selected the contract of P.J. Higgins from Triple-A Louisville Bats today, before first pitch with the Marlins. Higgins has played in five games this season with the Bats in Triple-A. He has one hit and one RBI this season. Higgins last played in the big leagues in 2022 with the Chicago Cubs.
