Cincinnati Reds Down on the Farm 5/27-6/2

3B – Noelvi MarteSuspended 80 Games

Marte is suspended for 80 games.

RHP – Rhett Lowder – Chatanooga Lookouts

Lowder made one start this past series, going four innings. He allowed five hits, one earned run, hit one batter, walked one, and struck out seven. He had a 2.25 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP during the outing. His next start should be Tuesday, June, 4th.

SS – Edwin Arroyo—out for the Year–Chattanooga Lookouts

Arroyo is out for the seaosn.

RHP – Connor Phillips – Louisville Bats

Phillips started one game this past week and didn’t factor into the decision. He allowed two hits, three earned runs, one home run, six walks, and three strikeouts. He finished the outing with a 7.36 ERA and a 2.18 WHIP. He will make two starts in this series, with the first coming Tuesday, June 4th.

RHP – Chase Petty– Chattanooga Lookouts

Petty started one game during the six-game series. He pitched six innings without factoring in the decision. He allowed five hits, one earned run, one walk, and struck out three. He finished the day with a 1.50 ERA and a 1.00 WHIP. His next start should be Wednesday, June 5th.

3B – Cam Collier – Dayton Dragons

Cam Collier played in six games with 22 at-bats over the last seven days. He scored two runs, had four hits, one double, three walks, eight strikeouts, and five RBIs. He ended the series slashing .182/.308/.227 and had a .535 OPS.

3B – Sal Stewart – Dayton Dragons

Stewart played in five games in the last seven days. He received 21 at-bats, scoring four runs on seven hits, three RBIs, two walks, and three strikeouts. He slashed .333/.391/.333 with a .724 OPS on the series.

SS – Richardo Cabrera – Daytona Tortugas

Cabrera played in five games over the last seven days; He had 19 at-bats, three runs, five hits, two doubles, one home run, three RBIs, two walks, one steal, and four strikeouts. He slashed .263/.318/.526 with a .844 OPS over the last seven days.

OF – Carlos Jorge – Dayton Dragons

Jorge played in four games over the last seven days. He had 16 at-bats, one hit, one RBI, and struck out seven times. Over the last seven days, he slashed .063/.111/.063 with a .174 OPS.

RHP – Ty Floyd – Arizona Complex League

Floyd is on the 60-day IL.

The Week Ahead

Louisville Bats (AAA) (32-24)

The Triple-A Louisville Bats dealt with the Iowa Cubs last week, the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. Iowa Cubs with Cade Horton, Jordan Wicks, Owen Caissie, and Pete Crow-Armstrong, the Cub’s number-one ranked prospect. They ended up splitting the series three games to three with Iowa. They will head on the Road and face the Nashville Sounds this week. The Sounds are the Triple-A affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Sounds have One of the top Catching Prospects in Jeferson Quero who is the 37th Ranked Prospect for ITD, the 46th Ranked prospect Tyler Black will also be playing for the Sounds this week.

Chattanooga Lookouts (AA) (14-37)

Last week, the Lookouts played the Tennessee Smokies and the Chicago Cubs top prospects Cade Horton, Kevin Alcantara, Matt Shaw, James Triantos, and Moises Ballerestos. They lost the series two games to four last week. This week they will take on the Rocket City Trash Pandas the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels.

Last week, the Dragons played the Beloit Sky Carp, the affiliate of the Miami Marlins. They ended up splitting the series with the Sky Carp three games to three. They will host the Lansing Lugnuts this week. The Lugnuts are the High-A affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
