LHP – Jake Eder

The White Sox have optioned Eder to the Charlotte Knights today. Eder pitched in one game last year for the White Sox. In those two innings of work, he had a 4.50 ERA and a 1.50 WHIP. He split the rest of the 2024 season between Double-A (Birmingham) and Triple-A (Charlotte). He made 24 combined starts over the year with three wins and nine losses. He pitched in 109 innings stiking out 122 batters and had a 1.68 WHIP.

Overview:

The White Sox are in the middle of a painful rebuild. They only won 41 games last season, finishing dead last in the AL Central. They have some talent coming up but it could be another long year unfortunately for the White Sox. These moves today will be more frequent as they dwindle the roster closer to the end of spring training.
