The Cubs signed Michael Fulmer back to the organization. The right hander will start his return to the Cubs pitching for the Iowa Cubs.

The Chicago Cubs have signed the right hand pitcher to a minor league deal today. He has been assigned to the Iowa Cubs in Triple-A. Fulmer was recently sent outright to Triple-A by the Red Sox. He only appeared in one game this year for the Red Sox. Fulmer pitched in 2.2 innings allowing four hits, three runs, and two walks. He has a 10.13 ERA, a 2.25 WHIP, and a .364 batting average against. Fulmer pitched for the Cubs in 2023. He pitched in 58 games with one start and throwing 57 innings. Fulmer had three wins and five losses with a 4.42 ERA. He saved two games and had 11 holds during his season with the Cubs. While with the Red Sox he pitched in three games in Triple-A Worcester where he made two starts. He did not earn a victory, but had two losses with a 3.09 ERA.
