The Boston Red Sox are getting set for their rivalry weekend matchup against the New York Yankees coming off a sweep of the Miami Marlins while the Yankees are coming off being swept. The Red Sox in their last series matchup with the Yankees took two out of three outscoring them 18-15, and after the first game, they outscored them 17-7. Since that Friday night game, the Yankees are 4-13. The Red Sox announced today that Chris Martin would be heading to the injured list with elbow inflammation while recalling Cam Booser from Triple-A Worcester.

Since being sent down he’s appeared in two games going 0-2 with a 19.31 ERA, a 3.86 WHIP, and three strikeouts in 2.1 innings.
