The Red Sox are also calling up Brian Van Belle from Triple-A Worcester. They are designating Robert Stock for assignment.

Roman Anthony
Anthony, in 58 games this season at Triple-A Worcester, is hitting .288 with a .913 OPS. He has nine doubles, two triples, ten home runs, 29 RBI, 45 runs scored, three stolen bases, and 51 walks. Roman Anthony over the weekend hit a 497-foot Grand Slam. The long-awaited debut will be tonight, with him batting fifth.
Wiley Abreu
Abreu hits the injured list. In 64 games this season, he’s hitting .245 with a .792 OPS. He had eight doubles, 13 home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored, four stolen bases, and 24 walks. Over the weekend, he went 0-5 with an RBI against the Yankees. The move allows a Roman Anthony appearance.

Brian Van Belle
Van Belle has made 12 appearances, with eight of those coming as starts at Triple-A Worcester. He is 5-1 with a 2.29 ERA, a 1.06 WHIP, and 41 strikeouts in 51 innings. Robert Stock
