The Boston Red Sox planned to start a four-game series tonight against the Baltimore Orioles, but inclement weather forced a cancellation. They will play a doubleheader tomorrow. The Boston Red Sox, despite not playing today, did acquire first baseman/outfielder Ryan Noda from the Los Angeles Angels in exchange for cash. To accommodate Noda on the 40-man roster, the team has transferred outfielder Masataka Yoshida to the 60-day injured list. The Red Sox assigned Noda to Triple-A Worcester.
