The Boston Red Sox last night signed Lucas Giolito to a two-year contract with an option after the first year. Today, they continued their moves by trading Chris Sale to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for Vaughn Grissom. The move is an interesting one and may signify something big coming soon since the Red Sox’s main priority this offseason was pitching, and now they’ve traded a starter. Still, with the trade, they acquired a player who could potentially play second base for them in 2024, which was another need.
