Boston Red Sox Ink Reliever

Red Sox Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

Free Agency has begun, and all eyes are on Juan Soto who is currently hosting visits with four teams the Toronto Blue Jays, New York Yankees, New York Mets, and the Boston Red Sox. The fact the Red Sox are included in a meeting that was limited to four teams is a good sign, especially after the following few offseasons. One position of need that has to be addressed this offseason is pitching both in the rotation and in the bullpen, there are a lot of intriguing names available this offseason, and the Red Sox are reportedly in the mix for a lot of the top options. Today they made a minor signing to add to their bullpen as they signed lefty Justin Wilson, according to Robert Murray, the details of the contract have not been released as of now.

Bottom Line:

This is an arm that seems like another project for Craig Breslow to fix and is obviously just the beginning. The hope is that Red Sox ownership is toying with fans again like they did last year when they said they were “Full Throttle” and didn’t go out and do much of anything in the offseason. It does sound like they will be all in on some big names and the time is coming for the deals to begin.
