The Atlanta Braves are off today following a loss to the Washington Nationals last night 5-1, as Max Fried suffered the loss going six innings giving up four runs on 11 hits; he didn’t issue a walk and struck out six. The Braves’ lone run came in the Top of the 6th when Jorge Soler doubled home Michael Harris II; Harris and Soler both had two hits each while Ramon Laureano and Matt Olson also added a hit each. Today the Braves activated catcher Travis d’Arnaud from the paternity list and optioned catcher Chadwick Tromp to Triple-A Gwinnett.

C – Travis d’Arnaud

D’Arnaud in 90 games hit .245 with a .762 OPS; he has 16 doubles, 14 home runs, 46 RBI, 38 runs scored, one stolen base, and 20 walks. This is his fifth season with the Braves he’s played in 375 games hitting .253 with a .761 OPS; he has 76 doubles, a triple, 59 home runs, 205 RBI, 170 runs scored, two stolen bases, and 93 walks. This is his 12th career season, and he is a .249 career hitter with a .737 OPS; he has 157 doubles, 122 home runs, 436 RBI, 372 runs scored, and 235 walks.

C – Chadwick Tromp

Tromp is in his fifth big league season, he has played in 59 games hitting .232 with a .635 OPS; he has ten doubles, five home runs, 22 RBI, 16 runs scored, and two walks. This season for the Braves in 19 games he is hitting .250 with a .625 OPS; he had six doubles, six RBI, three runs scored, and a walk. At Triple-A Gwinnett this season in 55 games he’s hitting .319 with a .871 OPS; he has 15 doubles, seven home runs, 48 RBI, 30 runs scored, and 24 walks.
