Arizona Diamondbacks Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

Wild Card Game 1 Recap

The Arizona Diamondbacks picked up a massive 6-3 win last night over the Milwaukee Brewers to kick off the Wild Card Series. They will play game two tonight at 7:08 and, with a win, will advance to the NLDS and face the Los Angeles Dodgers; if they don’t win, they will play game three tomorrow. Tonight’s pitching matchup will be Zac Gallen vs. Freddy Peralta, and if there’s a game three, it will be Merrill Kelly for the Diamondbacks. Before yesterday’s game, the Diamondbacks removed outfielder Jake McCarthy from the playoff roster, meaning he’ll be out till, at the earliest, the NLCS infielder Jace Peterson replaced him. It was also reported that Tommy Pham is dealing with an injury as he is battling turf toe and has opened the possibility that he would get an injection to help with the pain; Pham played last night in game one.
