Cristian Mena – Right-hand Pitcher
The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned Cristian Mena today March 10th, 2025 to the Triple-A Reno Aces. Cristian appeared in two games this spring for the Diamondbacks. He worked three innings total without giving up a run and striking out three batters. Last season he only appeared in one big league game. Mena did pitch in three innings during that game and only ended up allowing four earned runs. He also gave up three walks. He spent the majority of last year with Reno in Triple-A. Mena made 19 starts last year and finished with four wins and two losses with Reno. In total, he pitched 95.2 innings finishing with 102 strikeouts, a 4.61 ERA, and a 1.54 WHIP.
Tim Tawa – Second base
The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned Tim Tawa today March 10th, 2025 to Triple-A to the Reno Aces. Tawa saw 13 at-bats this spring for the Diamondbacks, where he had three hits, three RBIs, and scored three runs. He ends big league training camp with a .231 batting average. Tawa started the year last year with Double-A Amarillo Sod Poodles. He received an end-of-the-year call-up to Triple-A with the Reno Aces. Combined last year he played in 142 games. Finishing last year with 33 doubles, three triples, 31 home runs, 90 RBIs, and 14 steals. He had a .279 batting average and a slash line of .349/.519/.868. Tim Tawa and players like Cristian Mena are critical to the Diamondbacks’ future success.
Yilber Diaz – Right-Hand Pitcher
The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned Diaz today March 10th, 2025 to the Triple-A Reno Aces. Diaz leaves the big league training camp after pitching in two games for a total of 3.2 innings worked. He did not allow a run, struck out four, and had a 0.82 WHIP. Diaz did pitch in seven games last year for the Diamondbacks, making four starts. In 28.1 innings of work, he had one win and one loss. Walks were an issue a total of 12 over that time, but he did strike out 19. Overall he ended last year with a 3.81 ERA and had a 1.38 WHIP. Yilber Diaz is excited to play alongside rising stars like Cristian Mena.

Jackson Feltner – First Base
The Arizona Diamondbacks have assigned Jackson Feltner to the roster today March 10th, 2025. Feltner played all of last season split between Single-a and Single-A+. He played 63 games with Visalia Rawhide in Single-A where he had a .260 batting average and a slash line of .391/.413/.804. In 20 games with Hillsboro Hops, he struggled with a batting average of .162 and a slash line of .219/.294/.513. Like Cristian Mena, Feltner is working hard towards a breakout season.
