2025 Roster

Projected Lineup

LF Jurickson Profar
3B Austin Riley
1B Matt Olson
DH Marcell Ozuna
CF Michael Harris II
2B Ozzie Albies
C Sean Murphy
RF Jarred Kelenic
SS Orlando Arcia

Atlanta will be without Ronald Acuna Jr. They will miss him until May. How will they replace what he brings to the team? It appears Kelenic will be the right fielder until Acuna returns. The lineup is still loaded with bats with Riley, Olson, Ozuna, Harris, Albies, Murphy, and Arcia. In the offseason they added a bat in Profar. He is coming off one of his best seasons of his career. The Braves hope he can keep that rolling at the top of their lineup.

Starting Rotation

LHP – Chris Sale
RHP – Reynaldo Lopez
RHP – Spencer Schwellenbach
RHP – Grant Holmes
RHP – Ian Anderson

The Braves lost Max Fried this offseason. They will hope to have Spencer Strider back at some point in April. They have the reigning Cy Young winner at the top of their rotation. He hopes to build off his 18-3 season with a 2.38 ERA and a 1.01 WHIP. Lopez will look to build off a successful 2024. They’ll have young arms as well in Schwellenbach, Holmes, and Anderson.

Bullpen

RHP Anderson Pilar
RHP Buck Farmer
LHP Angel Perdomo
RHP Daysbel Sanchez
LHP Dylan Lee
RHP Aaron Bummer
LHP Pierce Johnson
RHP Raisel Iglesias

The back end of the bullpen will be dominant. The middle relief holds some hesitation. This unit is different than the unit the Braves had when they won the World Series. The hope is someone like Aaron Bummer can have a season like he did in 2019 and 2022. Iglesias will close the door once again coming off a 34 save season. Buck Farmer joins the bullpen and looks to help. Dylan Lee is another name to watch as he looks to have a similar season to last year.

2025 Expectations

The Braves will look to return to the postseason for the eighth consecutive season. It won’t be easy with the Phillies and Mets loaded up. They’ll have their hands full in 2025, but make no mistake this lineup can compete with just about any team in baseball. The pitching will be the thing to watch in 2025 for Atlanta.
