The Toronto Blue Jays will wrap up their series with the Baltimore Orioles tonight. The Blue Jays won the first game 5-2 and dropped the middle game last night 7-3. On Tuesday night Chris Bassitt picked up the win going seven innings giving up two runs on three hits; he walked two and struck out nine. Toronto scored five runs in the Bottom of the Sixth behind an Alejandro Kirk three-run home run and Addison Barger drove in two with a double. On Tuesday the three runs for Toronto came in on a Spencer Horwitz sacrifice fly in the Bottom of the First, an RBI single by Brian Serven, and Ernie Clement reaching on a throwing error that allowed Serven to score. Toronto lost their 3-2 lead in the Top of the Seventh when Baltimore scored two and then they tacked on three more in the Top of the Eighth. Ahead of tonight’s game they selected RHP Tommy Nance and placed LHP Genesis Cabrera on the Paternity List.

RHP – Tommy Nance

Nance has pitched in 62 career games in the big league with two of those coming as starts he is 3-4 with a 5.47 ERA, a 4.23 FIP, a 1.44 WHIP, a 4.2 BB/9, and a 10.8 K/9 in 72.1 innings. This season he has pitched at Triple-A El Paso for the Padres making 26 appearances going 2-2 with a 4.05 ERA, a 1.53 WHIP, a 2.2 BB/9, and a 9.5 K/9 in 33.1 innings.

LHP – Genesis Cabrera

Cabrera this season for Toronto has appeared in 50 games going 3-2 with a 3.50 ERA, a 5.15 FIP, a 1.49 WHIP, a 4.5 BB/9, and a 7.2 K/9 in 46.1 innings. Last season for Toronto he appeared in 29 games going 1-0 with a 2.66 ERA, a 0.97 WHIP, a 2.3 BB/9, and a 7.6 K/9 in 23.2 innings.
