Texas Rangers Roster Transactions | Inside The Diamonds

The further into Spring Training we get, the more roster cuts we see. Today the club announced that right-hander Cole Winn, left-hander Antoine Kelly, infielder Jonathan Ornelas, and catcher Sam Huff have been optioned to the franchise AAA team, the Round Rock Express. Right-hander Jose Corniell was also optioned down to the Frisco RoughRiders, the club’s AA team. This leaves 32 players remaining on the 40-man roster, and an additional 23 non-roster invitees remain.

RHP Cole Winn

This spring Cole Winn has appeared in four games with a total of 7.1 innings pitched. He has a spring W/L record of 0-0 and an ERA of 9.82. He allowed 11 hits, eight runs, three home runs, four walks, and hit two batters.

C Sam Huff

Sam Huff has appeared in eight games with sixteen at-bats. He is hitting .063/.167/.188. He recorded one hit, two runs, no home runs or RBIs, two walks, and five strikeouts. His fielding percentage is 1.000.

RHP Jose Corniell
